How to Calculate Your Enegy Consumption and Load
You may roughly calculate the load you require for your connection on the basis of the load of each one of your household appliances by looking at the table given below and adding up the load for all your general lighting items, heating appliances, cooling appliances and other items which you may possess in your house. 1000 W (watts) is 1KW (kilowatt). Please scroll down to bottom of the page to view the total load in Watt & total estimated monthly consumption in units.

For determination of Contracted Load in case of multi-storeyed buildings, please adopt the following methods:

For Domestic category- 500 W per 100 Sq.ft of the constructed area
For commercial category - 1500 W per 100 Sq. ft of the constructed area
For lift, water-lifting pump, street light (if any), corridor/campus lighting and other common facilities, load is be calculated on actual basis.
